A song of ascents. Of David.
1 If the LORD had not been on our side—
let Israel say—
2 if the LORD had not been on our side
when people attacked us,
3 they would have swallowed us alive
when their anger flared against us;
4 the flood would have engulfed us,
the torrent would have swept over us,
5 the raging waters
would have swept us away.
let Israel say—
2 if the LORD had not been on our side
when people attacked us,
3 they would have swallowed us alive
when their anger flared against us;
4 the flood would have engulfed us,
the torrent would have swept over us,
5 the raging waters
would have swept us away.
6 Praise be to the LORD,
who has not let us be torn by their teeth.
7 We have escaped like a bird
from the fowler’s snare;
the snare has been broken,
and we have escaped.
8 Our help is in the name of the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
Where would you be today if it hadn't been for the Lord? I honestly don't even want to take myself there mentally because I know it would be bad. My God has saved me from so many places and situations, even people, that I can't fathom. I am just bless that He love His daughter, Hali, me, so much that He will do anything to make sure I'm safe and walking the correct path.who has not let us be torn by their teeth.
7 We have escaped like a bird
from the fowler’s snare;
the snare has been broken,
and we have escaped.
8 Our help is in the name of the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
Since we've spent a second thinking of where our God has taken us from, we need to spend hours, days and years open to where the Lord will take us. Don't live in the past because this prevents us from living in the present and preparing our hearts for the future. I'm ready Lord! Take me where you want me to go!!
